What percentage of Europeans has ordered something online?

Over the years and especially during the pandemic, ordering online has become increasingly more popular. Especially the pandemic has pushed a lot of companies to start a webshop or online delivery service to still be able to serve their costumers.
We can see on this map that there are still some very strong difference between countries in Europe. Within most countries, the differences are often not that big. In most of west and northern Europe, more than 70% of the population has ordered something online in the last 12 months. In the south-east of Europe we find the lowest percentages. For most areas less than half of the population ordered something online in the past 12 months.
The UK, Netherlands, Denmark, Ireland, Norway and Sweden dominate the top. In almost every area in these countries more than 85% of the population ordered something online. The highest percentage in Europe can be found in London (96%).
The lowest percentage can be found in Albania, where only 17% of the population ordered something online in the past 12 months. This is far lower than any other area in Europe.
