Which areas in Europe have the highest percentage of teen moms?

On this map we can see the percentage of live births in 2020, where the mother was a teenager at the time of birth. Although this map shows the data at the regional level, it is the differences between countries that might be the most interesting.
For most of Europe, in less than 3% of all live births, the mother is a teenager. For countries like Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland, the percentage is below 1.5% in every region in the country.
The percentages are the highest in south-eastern Europe. Bulgaria and Romania have some of the highest percentages in Europe. In Sliven, Bulgaria, it’s even as high as 30.81%. Parts of Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Albania, North Macedonia, Greece and Turkey, also have some fairly high percentages.
Outside of south-eastern Europe, there are also some other countries and regions that stand out from their neighbouring countries. Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Germany and France have quite a few areas where the percentage is above 1.5% or even above 3%. The United Kingdom stands out the most in the western half of Europe. For most of the country, the percentage is above 1.5 or 3.0.
