Trump Cabinet’s net worth greater than the world’s 70 smallest countries

President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet picks have a net worth greater than the world’s 70 smallest countries, The Boston Globe reported Wednesday.

As of Monday, the net worth of Trump’s proposed team was at least $13.1 billion.

The Globe included Trump, Vice President-elect Mike Pence, Trump’s chief of staff, his Cabinet members and ambassadors in its calculation.

Betsy DeVos, Trump’s choice to lead the Education Department, is the wealthiest nominee. The businesswoman is worth $5.1 billion.

{mosads}Pence, meanwhile, will be one of the least wealthy members of the administration. The Indiana governor is worth about $211,000, according to data from 2012.

Last week, The Hill reported that Trump’s Cabinet members and those in similar positions earn more money than a combined one-third of American households.

Trump’s Cabinet is set to be among the wealthiest in U.S. history, richer than the administrations of President Obama and President George W. Bush, whose administration was worth $250 million.
