The Continuous Violent Clashes and The Intense Shelling Kill More People and Raise the Death Toll To 275 At Least In 18 Days South of Damascus

Damascus Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the clashes continued in a deferent degree of violence, between the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in areas in Yarmouk Camp, al-Tadamon and al-Hajar al-Aswad in the southern section of the capital Damascus, amid exchange of rocket shelling between both parties of the clashes, and targeting vehicles of both parties, which caused more casualties in their ranks, where it has increased to 152 at least, the number of members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, who were killed since Thursday the 19th of April 2018, including 19 officers and 6 of them were executed, while it has increased to 123, the number of members of the organization who were killed in the shelling, clashes and targeting that left tens of wounded in the ranks of the both parties, and the death toll is expected to rise because of the continued combat operations and the presence of injured cases in critical situation.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that several explosions rocked the south of Damascus during the past few hours, as a result of renewing the aerial and ground shelling on ISIS controlled areas, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored bombardment by helicopters be explosive barrels, and raids by warplanes on areas in Al-Hajar al-Aswad, Yarmouk Camp and Al-Tadamon, in conjunction with shelling by the regime forces by artillery and rocket shells and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, while the clashes are continuing between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in the vicinity and outskirts of Yarmouk Camp and Al-Tadamon and other areas in Al-Hajar al-Aswad neighborhood, as the regime forces have been continuing their attempts since the 19th of April 2018, to end the presence of the organization in the area, through putting pressure on the organization and confining it in the narrowest possible area to force it to accept the earlier agreement.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also published on Sunday that the number of civilian casualties is continuing to increase in the south of Damascus, in conjunction with the increased death toll since the start of the military operation of the regime forces with their allies, against the organization’s controlled areas in the southern part of the capital Damascus, where it has increased to 11 persons at last including 5 children, the number of people who were killed in the massacre that took place in the Palestinian refugee camp of Yarmouk by the warplanes, last night, Saturday the 5th of May 2018, raising to 47 at least including 13 children and 6 women, the number of casualties who were killed in the shelling by the regime forces by artillery and rocket shells missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, and the bombardment by warplanes and helicopters by missiles, bombs and explosive barrels, while the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of tens of injuries and missing people, where a number of injuries have seriously wounded and others are in critical situations, while the fate of many of the missing people is still unknown, weather they have died or are still alive, where the citizens and rescuers try when the pace of shelling decreases, to extract stuck people or bodies from the rubble of destruction caused by the shelling on Yarmouk Camp and the rest controlled areas of the organization.
