Women's share of jobs managing companies, agencies and NGOs has risen higher than ever before, according to the business-backed think tank EVA.

The think tanks 'glass ceiling index' suggests that some 37.5 percent of managers in Finland were women in 2020. That's up from 36.8 percent the year before.

The figure has risen considerably in recent years, with the index recording 31.4 percent women leaders in 2017. EVA says Finland has more women in leadership positions than the average OECD country, with the OECD average at 33.6 percent in 2020.

Finland remains behind Sweden and the United States, where women take more than 40 percent of leadership positions, but is clearly ahead of Germany.
