The death sentence of Sarkawt Ahmadi, a political activist from Ravansar who was imprisoned in Kermanshah Central Prison (Kermashan) for two years, was executed secretly in this prison.

According to the report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on February 22, 2023, the death sentence of Sarkawt Ahmadi (Arash), a political activist from Ravansar, was secretly executed in Dizel Abad Prison, Kermanshah.

29-year-old Sarkawt Ahmadi, a political activist and former member of the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan, was arrested by the government forces in January 2021, while he was separated from this party and was on his way to Europe via Urmia. Then he was transferred to the Kermanshah Intelligence Detention Center.

This political activist was later sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the murder of one of the police personnel named Sargurd Hassan Maleki.

On August 23, 2017, Hassan Maleki was killed in front of his house by unknown armed men, which was later claimed by the "Red Flag Fighters" group.

It should be noted that a few days after Hassan Maliki was killed, at least 12 members of the family of Sarkawt Ahmadi, a Kurdish political activist, including his father, sister, son-in-law, etc., were arrested by the forces of the Intelligence Department. Sarkawt was in the Kurdistan Region at the time, in Sulaymaniyah.
