Kian Pirfalak's mother, Mahmonir Molaei, has been under house arrest since Sunday, June 11, IranWire reveals.

Reliable sources confirmed that the Islamic Republic's security forces have surrounded the residence of Kian Pirfalak's parents and seized all their household belongings. Agents are also controlling nearby streets and have blocked any filming in the area.

No information is available regarding the whereabouts and wellbeing of Maysam Pirfalak, Kian's father, and Kian's young brother, adding to growing concerns for their safety.

Pouya Molaei-Rad, 19, a cousin of Kian Pirfalak's mother, Mahmonir Molaei, was killed by gunfire from security forces.

The incident was made all the worse because June 11 marked the tenth birthday of Kian Pirfalak, who was killed on November 16, 2022, during nationwide protests sparked by the death of Mahsa Amini in police custody.

“Agents of the Intelligence Ministry and security agents did their best to prevent the birthday commemoration for Kian," a source has told IranWire.

"They threatened Mahmonir and told her that ‘If you do not stop these ceremonies from taking place, we will kill your little son Radin and your husband Meysam,’” the source added.

Since the loss of her son, Mahmonir Molaei has held the agents of the Islamic Republic accountable for Kian's death.
