Terrorists Invade Nigeria’s Federal University Gusau In Zamfara, Abduct Students

SaharaReporters gathered that the gunmen invaded the students’ residence at Sabon-Gida identified as Nazeer Sabon-Gida and took away the dwellers, who were mostly female students of the school.

Some gunmen suspected to be terrorists have kidnapped some yet-to-be-identified students of the Federal University Gusau in Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.

SaharaReporters gathered that the gunmen invaded the students’ residence at Sabon-Gida identified as Nazeer Sabon-Gida and took away the dwellers, who were mostly female students of the school.

The number of the kidnapped students could not be ascertained at the time of filling this report.

A student of the university who spoke to SaharaReporters on condition of anonymity confirmed the report. She said the terrorists invaded the students’ area at midnight and kept shooting till they left.

“It was around midnight when they came to the area. Everybody heard the shooting because they did not stop till the time they left,” the student said.

Another student, who simply identified himself as Abubakar revealed that he awoke on Friday to hear the news, which has caused panic and fear in the university community. 

“The number of abducted students could not be ascertained for now but many students live in Sabon-Gida,” he told SaharaReporters.
