Over a hundred people rallied in Paris to support French citizens imprisoned in Iran and demand their release.

The demonstration, held on March 23, was organized at the urging of the families of four detained French nationals.

Protesters carried signs displaying photos and names: Cecil Kohler, Jacques Paris, Louis Arnaud, and a man identified only as Olivier.

Olivier's family has requested privacy, and his last name is not being released.

The rally also saw participation from Iranian expatriates.

Demonstrators accused the Iranian government of imprisoning French citizens on charges of "espionage and national security disruption" without proper evidence.

Western governments and rights groups have repeatedly accused the Islamic Republic of taking dual and foreign nationals hostage for the sole purpose of using them in prisoner swaps or as a bargaining chip in international negotiations.

Media reports indicate at least ten Westerners are currently imprisoned in Iran.

Several countries, including France, condemn these detentions as "hostage diplomacy." They believe Iran uses these arrests as bargaining chips in negotiations with Western nations.
