On this map we can see the difference in the percentage of men that are employed and the percentage of women that are employed.

Straight away we can see a clear geographic pattern. The further you go to the southeast of Europe, the bigger the difference is between employed men and women. In most of Turkey and parts of Italy and Greece there are far more men that are working compared to women.

The smallest differences can be found in Finland, the Baltics, France and Portugal. In the area around Vilnius and in Southern Finland, there are even more women that are employed than men.
